This tool enables restoration of lost high-frequency content in WAV files. It will perform a spectral translation of lower-frequency bands, coupled with linear spectral envelope extrapolation, to recover the high-frequency spectral data lost as a result of compression, aggressive quantization, or hard low-pass filtering (restoring "sharpness" to the sound). Operating parameters are highly tunable; a number of statistics are output to let the user find a best fit when defaults are insufficient. Builds with lcc-win32; requires fftw3.
