This article is inspired by the amazing work of Chris Maunder and co. with relation to the CGridCtrl class. The article will try to describe, how merge cell and freeze pane functionality can be achieved by making some additions and modifications to the existing CGridCtrl and CGridCellBase classes.has passed the test.
